Keukenhof Gardens

It’s springtime, which means a trip to the Keukenhof had to happen. The Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse open up their gates each spring for a limited amount of time. It is also known as the Garden of Europe and there is a reason for that. The garden, which literally translates to Kitchen Garden, has approximately 7 million flower bulbs that bloom and cover an area of 79acres.

I have never seen so many flowers in my life and they were all so beautiful!

Keukenhof is open from 23 March 2017 up to 21 May 2017.

Keukenhof is located in South Holland in the small town of Lisse, south of Haarlem and southwest of Amsterdam. It is accessible by bus from the train stations of Haarlem, Leiden and Schiphol. It is located in an area called the “Dune and Bulb Region”.

If you are ever around The Netherlands during spring, drive down there. It’s best when you visit in mid-April.

    1. This was my first time in the Netherlands during Spring and visiting the gardens was number one on my list! It was so worth it when I finally got to see it… so many pretty flowers! If you ever get the chance, do it. Lovely!
