August TBR

I am trying something new to help me get through the purchased books lying around in my room and my Kindle app. I’ll have a monthly TBR list to help me get through them and to help stop myself from buying more books. I am a shameless impulse shopper when it comes to books, which means I have so many unread books, especially in my Kindle. This list will be made of books from different genres and if it works out this month, I will stick with it.

The list obviously does not include any ARCs and beta reading material I have received but I will be reading them as well.

296381661. From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon

I one-clicked this like a week ago because I read a review that made it sound awesome. I’m actually about thirty percent in and it’s been good so far. This will be my Historical Fiction/Romance pick of the month.

  1. The River and the Source by Margaret Ogola2599364

This is as part of rereading books from high school. I think I read this almost a decade ago and I am sure reading it now will be a different experience. This will be my African Lit pick of the month.

188699703. My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier

This is the classic choice of the month. I’ve had it on my Kindle for a long time now. I purchased it when the same time I got her other title Rebecca. I was meant to read this one first because of the movie but somehow I ended up going with Rebecca.

  1. Duplicity by Sibel Hodge

I blame this one on Beneath the Surface by the same author. I got it as an ARC and I loved her writing style so much I decided to check out some of her previous works. This will be my mystery pick of the month.

319319415. Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

This was an Instagram recommendation when I was in search of something to buddy read with my small sister.
